Quinoa Crust

Homemade Pizza

INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 cup quinoa, soaked overnight

1/2 cup water

2 Tbsp olive oil

2 Tbsp dried Italian herbs

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

Optional: add handful fresh spinach or basil to make green crusts

METHOD

​

Drain and rinse soaked quinoa, place in to a high-speed blender, add in the other ingredients and whiz until smooth. 

​

Pour in to 2 non-stick 7 1/2-inch pie pans and bake at 400F for 15 minutes. At this piont you should be able to easily get a rubber spatula under and flip them (if not let them cook a few more minutes), and cook the other side for 5-10 minutes more. 

​

Add your desired sauces and toppings and warm in the oven for a few minutes until melted. Buon Appetito!

Makes 2 personal pizza crusts
